The Great Plains Family YMCA Summer Camp is a full day child care program, which is an extension of the YMCA’s basic philosophy to help children realize their full physical, mental and spiritual potential in a trusting and stable setting.
The YMCA Summer Camp offers organized activities such as swimming, visits to the splashpad, out of town field trips, art projects and organized games. A weekly schedule of the outings and activities along with fees will be available to each camper prior to the start of camp. The schedule will include specific field trips and times of departure and return.
The YMCA summer camp program opens at 6:30 a.m. and teachers are on duty until 6:00 p.m.
It is open to ages 5 and in Kindergarten & 6 years (Kids Club) and 7-11 years (Prime Time).
There is a monthly activity fee in addition to the weekly tuition or you can sign up for all the field trips for the summer for one price. Camp t-shirts are made available to each child and are to be worn on field trip days. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack is provided as well as sunscreen for outside activities.
It is the YMCA policy that no one is denied the benefit of program participation due to personal financial hardship. If you are interested in this program and are in need of financial assistance, please contact the YMCA (580-772-0202).
