Funding for the Great Plains Family YMCA in Weatherford, Oklahoma, comes from three basic sources:
Memberships - Programs - Contributions
Memberships - Annual or semester (college students only) dues paid by individuals or families for use of the facilities and some programs. Proceeds help defray normal operating expenses such as utilities, insurance, personnel, supplies, etc.
Programs - Program fees paid that allow individuals to participate in various programs throughout the year, such as adult sports, child care, youth sports, etc. Programs are meant to be self-supporting and dues vary according to the related program expenses.
Contributions - Because the Great Plains Family YMCA is a charitable organization, contributions are tax deductible from your state and federal taxes.
